Sk8school begins it's 2009 program of events from 11th January - if you plan to book any courses - do it before the "Christmas present" skaters take all the places!
Skating in Eastbourne starts on the 11th in the new year. The usual full program of lessons, skate dance, free open skates and kids club will feature as always + a surprising number of new events, sign up for the newsletter to get the details or register on the Sk8 M8's TXT service. All lessons and events at Shinewater unless otherwise stated.

Sunday Quiet Skates Every Sunday 10am - Booking Essential
The Quiet Skate is a booking only event for up to 20 skaters every week. It costs £3 per skater and is payable for the month and in advance. This is quiet skating time - for limited numbers. At the same time Sk8school will run its FREE skate lessons for the shops and any Private Skate Lessons requested by Eastbourne Skaters (or for skaters from further afield).
Eastbourne Sunday Beginner Group Skate Lessons 10am - FREE with voucher.
Book you're place for Sunday's Group Skate Lesson for beginners. We teach you how to stand up, go for the first time, stop and turn. This is the ideal place to start, in a small group far from the whizzing crowd and in a nice quiet atmosphere.
No Show off's, no speed kings, just you and some like minded beginners, many of whom will never have stood on skates before! Age ranges tend to be from 5-14 and 25-70!
Prices start at FREE with vouchers from participating skate shops. Otherwise it's £8 for an adult and £5 for a child. Remember there is a FREE OPEN SKATE straight afterwards so if you want to practise - you can! 2 Hours of skating!
No skates? No problem! Eastbourne Inline Skate School has all sizes of skates from Childs 12 to Adults 10.5 - Rental includes all pads and helmet and is just £5 for the session.
Kids Club every Sunday 11am along side the Open Skate
Why not keep you're kids active and teach them skating at the same time as building some appetite for Sunday lunch? Kids Club is just £3 and we'll keep those little ones interested in competitive and team building skate games as well as skill building and fitness!
If you want to join in you can too! or take part in the open skate, just joining in the games that the kids won't make you look too silly in! Great fun for all the family - and you're kids won't even realise they are learning to skate, stronger, faster and with more style!
Sunday FREE Open Skate Every Sunday 11am - Just turn up!
The cheapest indoor skating in Eastbourne - FREE! Every Sunday in October at Shinewater Sports Centre at 11am. An hours mayhem is guaranteed as kids club will be in full flow at the same time, so you can expect it to be crowded and noisy!
It's about time Eastbourne had some free indoor skating!

Skate Lesson - Half Day Intensive - Mastering Stopping - October 19th 1pm
Everything you need to know about stopping from first principles of the heal brake or toe stop, to the flash and formidable double edged hockey stop in one 3 hour session. This is ideal for beginners who want to get beyond one or two ways of stopping and great for intermediates who want to be coached to a higher level! We have a selection of Mastering courses - check the lessons page for further information. Note - this course has a maximum of 15 people and pre booking is essential.
